  7. You will come across a default startup web page on your browser. 
  8. Enter the default username and password for your range extender unless you have changed it. 
  9. Click the ‘Login’ button to access the settings of Linksys range extender. 
  10. Navigate to the ‘Wireless’ tab and select ‘Basic Wireless Settings.’
  11. Set the ‘Configuration View’ as ‘Manual’ and enter the SSID for your range extender. 
  12. Scroll down the ‘Wireless Security’ section and select those security settings that matches your router’s configuration. 
  13. Select the ‘Security Mode’ as WEP/WPA Personal or WPA2 Personal/WPA2/WPA Mixed Mode and the corresponding ‘Passphrase.’. 
  14. Click on the ‘Save Changes’ button to apply the changes in its settings. 
  15. Unplug all power cables from the range extender and reconnect it after a few seconds.
